What's with all the jerks who said Lost went downhill after the first season? I've been re-watching all the episodes in order and the show clearly gets better as it goes on. I have only two complaints about the series:
1. The show is susceptible to criticisms of relying on what Ebert terms the Idiot Plot, where the characters often refuse to ask obvious questions.
2. The guns carried by the Losties and the Tailies is subject to massive continuity errors. One minute they have Berettas, the next Star 9mms, the next Glocks. Also, they never explain what happened to the two sniper rifles found in the armory of The Swan. Those certainly could have came in handy when the Others assaulted the beach.
Speaking of guns, this appears to be the next generation of U.S. military assault rifles. Formerly, this was slated to have that honor.
