211

I'm looking to update but haven't written any reviews yet, so I decided to throw together a list of my ten favorite movies from the 1990's. In alphabetical order, of course, because deciding which one deserves what place would kill me.

The Big Lebowski - (1998)
Boogie Nights - (1997)
Casino - (1995)
Hard Boiled - (1992)
Pulp Fiction - (1994)
Saving Private Ryan - (1998)
Sling Blade- (1996)
Terminator 2: Judgement Day - (1991)
Unforgiven - (1992)
Welcome to the Dollhouse - (1995)

I hope my loyal fans will forgive my for putting together a list that seems a little mainstream (or philistine if you really want to stick it to me), but I was a stupid little kid in the 90's and didn't watch a lot of indie films or documentaries, so the list is what it is. I'd love to hear top 10 lists from readers on this one, not that my requests for feedback are granted very often, but I'm asking anyway.

Anything released in the 1990's counts. I didn't see some of hte ones on my list (Sling Blade, Welcome to the Dollhouse) until after the 90's.

There were some great comedies made in the 90's:

The Naked Gun 2: The Smell of Fear
Groundhog Day
Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult
Dumb and Dumber
Citizen Ruth
Office Space

To name a few. And believe it or not, I've never seen Dances with Wolves. It's in the queue.

In rough chronological order:

Glengarry Glen Ross (1992)
The Age of Innocence (1993)
Naked (1993)
Heavenly Creatures (1994)
Red (1994)
Satantango (1994)
Joan the Maid (1994)
Dead Man (1995)
After Life (1998)
Audition (1999)

Hm. Not much comedy there either...
